New here I just received a Jet-1530 machine that was built in 1978 and I am looking for informations books parts for these lathe any help would be appreciated THanks

JET is a branding company like Grizzley or Fowler. They don't make anything they just buy stuff and put their decal on it. So it is going to be tough going back that far. Since I am already sure you contacted jettools.com and they couldn't help you what they may be able to tell you who has been their distributor for then longest time. I find this works sometimes and you get some old guy at XYZ Machine and Tool that happens to know what Japanese or Taiwanese brand it is. Once you find out who "really" made the lathe it should be easier to find parts and manuals.
