Are their special machines or processes for drlling holes deep on a CNC milling machine?

 We use "gun drills" where I work for 1" x 36" deep holes. I've also used "ejector drills" for larger holes. These use a hollow tube and a high pressure coolant pump to force the chips back down the tube and into the hopper.

I'll go with gh but... When I was working at Rae Tee 50 years ago there was a complete separate building across the street dedicated to reaming, honing, and gun drilling. I've seen them but really have no idea how they work. One of our authors on the HIb grant had these animations made http://www.jjjtrain.com/vms/other_gun_drill/other_gun_drill_00.html
