The oil companies don't want you to know about it but the long thinkers are way ahead of them. Have you noticed that TV commercials of rail lines? Union Pacific, Burlington Northern Sante Fe (BNSF), CSX?  Interesting don't you think?

Why do you think Warren Buffet bought Burlington Northern?

There are two phases to this as a news program says. The first phase is commercial transportation. The long haul trucks will come off the roads and the trains will haul all freight.
The second phase is to electrify the rails which can be done at high cost but will be the ultimate goal.

Why do you think Warren Buffet bought Burlington Northern?

When he bought BNSF something clicked in my head and got me to reading more about the energy future of America. I think it is obvious where he thinks it is.

The high price of Gasoline is not that high. They pay $10 per gallon in France. People are adjusting. North Americans use much less gasoline to day than five years ago. We will adjust.
