Microwave
Ok, here is the deal. I am not an interior decorator. I am an engineer machinist. Maybe even a left hemisphere anal type A or something So this is not a pretty mod. It is a functional mod.
So the microwave that came with my Casita was 1100 watts. It worked real well but I have a Honda EU2000 generator that just could not keep up with it at high altitude so I "down sized" to an 700 watt (thought it was 800 watt once) and the generator and nuke shake hands nice now.
After you take out the Dometic 1100 watter you have a big hole! The cleats on the floor have been glued in to hold the new ittsy bittsy nuke. They encapsulate it so that it cannot shift in any direction except up!

Analog controls. Gawd how hard it is to find knobs in place of digits. This nuke has been sitting my garage for 15 years, It was hardly ever used. The piece of plywood on top is resting on a sheet of woven-like rubber drawer liner and then bonded to the sides with wooden cleats.

Two knife holder magnets bonded to fiberglass shell. Slots cut to take knives. The strips go all the way to the bottom.

There is a 3/32 aluminum sheet that has been cut out to fit the nuke and the little open counter top above it. It is attached to the shell with VHB tape.
Knives on the right side and utensil holes on the left side. There is a thin cutting board section over each side to keep the banging around down, Also knife edges touch nothing that will dull them.

My three favorite cooking pans slip through the opening on top. There is a one inch lip to keep them from falling out. The surface is that sticky foam drawer liner stuff. We'll see how it all works on the Alaska trip.
